Windows 98, 98 SE, ME, 2000 and XP

   Introduction:
   -------------
   This document describes the procedure to install Windows 98/98 SE
   ME, 2000 and XP driver for Realtek RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet adapter.

   Location of Windows 98/98 SE Driver :   \win98\R8139N5.SYS
   Location of Windows 2000 Driver     :   \win2000\R8139N5.SYS
   Location of Windows ME Driver       :   \winme\R8139N5.SYS
   Location of Windows XP Driver       :   \winxp\R8139N51.SYS

   Installing driver for Windows 98/98 SE/ME/2000/XP :
   -------------------------------------------------------------------
      Before you start with the installation process, make sure that your
      adapter should be properly installed in your PCI bus slot.
      Executing Windows 98/98 SE/ME/2000/XP, it will auto-detect
      your system configuration and find the adapter hardware.
      ( If Windows 98/98 SE/ME/2000/XP does not prompt that it
      detects the PCI Ethernet adapter,there must be something wrong with
      the RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet adapter or your system enviroment.)

      1. Ask you to select which driver you want to install, select "Driver
         from disk provided by hardware manufacturer".

      2. Insert the Realtek RTL8139 driver disk into drive A and specify
         the setup file pathname A:\WIN98 (for Windows 98/98 SE) or
                                 A:\WIN2000  (for Windows 2000)
                                 A:\WinME (for Windows ME)
                                 A:\WinXP (for Windows XP)
                                 
      3. Windows 98/98 SE/ME/2000/XP will appear some messages
         to insert Windows 98/98 SE/ME/2000/XP system disk to
         complete setup step.

      4. Windows 98/98 SE/ME/2000/XP will finish the other
         installation procedure automatically, then you restart the system.
